Investing in Women, Backed by GAIN

How our partnership with GAIN is preparing a diverse group of women and non-binary students for lasting success in investment management.

GAIN has always been committed to setting students up for success, but as expectations from partner firms continued to rise, so did GAIN’s ambition. They wanted to give their students not just access to internships, but the confidence and commercial readiness to excel from day one.

To support this, GAIN partnered with AmplifyME to deliver industry-standard, simulation-based training across two programmes:

The GAIN Investment Insight Programme is an introduction for first and second year students on a four-year degree course into the world of investment management and develops core skills like stock pitching, communication, and finance fundamentals.

The GAIN Empower Investment Internship Programme includes a five-session bootcamp that takes students through forecasting, modelling, private equity and fixed income. It gives them a practical edge before they begin their internship placements, which they are supported through by an industry mentor provided by GAIN.

AmplifyME’s training is built for students who may have never studied finance before. The aim is to level the playing field so everyone, from STEM postgrads to humanities undergrads, leaves with the same confidence and clarity.

A Partnership Making Impact

• 60% of GAIN students have gone on to secure full-time roles in the industry
• Students consistently describe the training as one of the most impactful elements of their GAIN journey
• Host firms report stronger technical preparation and presentation ability

Employers see the impact first-hand:

“The interns are curious, excited, eager to learn, kind and respectful. Their background, intelligence and enthusiasm has led some to work on live deals.”
— Apollo Global

This partnership not only raises the calibre of talent but also ensures finance reflects the diversity of society. The training is intentionally designed for students from any academic background, from STEM postgraduates to humanities undergraduates, ensuring everyone has equal access to opportunity.

Student Success

“The internship was a great learning opportunity. I came out of it with more insights into the investment world, a broader network with industry professionals, and more confidence in my ability to pursue a career in investing.”
— Former GAIN Intern

GAIN and AmplifyME continue to iterate based on feedback from students, mentors, and hiring firms. Training modules are refreshed each cycle, whether that means refining the structure of a stock pitch, updating case studies, or incorporating new asset class content.

But at its core, the goal remains the same. To build a pipeline of confident, capable candidates who reflect the full diversity of talent in the next generation of finance.
