News Release: AmplifyME partners with Fairfield Enterprise to Boost Social Mobility in Finance

Fairfield Enterprise, a charity with a mission to empower ambitious students from low-income backgrounds to thrive in the finance industry, is partnering with AmplifyME to collectively level the playing field in finance. This collaboration aims to provide 300 students annually from low-income backgrounds across the UK with access to an accredited, simulation-based program covering everything from a high-level introduction to the industry to real-time trading simulations.

In the United Kingdom, where less than 50% of new entrants into the finance industry attended state schools and only 25% reach senior management positions, both organizations acknowledge the value of improving access to the industry for employers and potential employees. Marshall Wace, one of Fairfield's Corporate Sponsors, is funding this partnership with AmplifyME, which aligns with AmplifyME's vision to redress the imbalance and create equal opportunities for talent from all backgrounds.

Applicants to the programme will come through Fairfield’s Schools and Colleges Programme, where finance professionals visit over 4,000 students yearly in schools across 12 cities to discuss career opportunities in the industry. AmplifyME will deliver their groundbreaking, role-specific finance simulations in person. These simulations, designed by former finance professionals, offer a unique way to assess and train individuals for specialist roles in finance.

AmplifyME collaborates with renowned financial institutions such as Citadel & Citadel Securities, Morgan Stanley, and the Royal Bank of Canada, providing them with role-specific assessment data, candidate profiles, and performance data.

Through this partnership, AmplifyME will work closely with Fairfield Enterprise to introduce young people from across the country to the world of finance and investing, aiming to widen the net and create opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds.

Stephen Barnett, Director of Corporate Finance and Head of Schools for AmplifyME, commented, "Our mission at AmplifyME is entirely aligned with Fairfield's, and it's fantastic to join forces in this way. We believe that the key to a more level playing field lies in data and technology, and bringing this to school students in this manner will offer much-needed career clarity earlier on."

Laurie Robathan, CEO of Fairfield Enterprise, emphasised the significance of this collaboration, stating, "At Fairfield Enterprise, we strive to improve social mobility in finance. By incorporating AmplifyME's training programme and technology into our offering, we're adding an extra layer of practical experience and insight to ambitious students across the UK."

The partnership between Fairfield Enterprise and AmplifyME reflects a shared commitment to improving social mobility in the finance sector by leveraging innovative technology and data-driven solutions.
This collaboration promises to provide students with invaluable insights and resources, empowering them to pursue successful careers in finance, regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds.
