Bringing Finance Careers to Life: Oxford Saïd’s Partnership with AmplifyME
At Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, we are committed to preparing our students for successful finance careers, not just through classroom learning, but through real-world experience. Since 2017, our partnership with AmplifyME has been a vital part of that approach.
The partnership began with student society-led events and has since evolved into a core part of our co-curricular careers offering. Thanks to the leadership of Sean Thomey, Employer Engagement Executive for Finance Careers, and John Madgwick, Head of Finance and Early Careers, the programme has continued to develop in line with industry standards and student needs.
Today, students participate in immersive experiences across asset management, hedge funds, and sales and trading, with a bespoke 24-hour M&A challenge introduced in 2024. These hands-on experiences build practical skills, commercial awareness, and confidence to support their career ambitions.
