SHAPING THE FUTURE OF FINANCE
SHAPING THE FUTURE OF FINANCE
Amplify Trading has partnered with Morgan Stanley to help over 100k students around the world to receive practical training in finance, in an effort to widen participation, and democratise opportunity for some of the most competitive graduate roles.
The bank has partnered with the AmplifyME initiative, to sponsor Finance Accelerator simulation training events across EMEA, North America and APAC, which attract students from all backgrounds to develop practical skills in sales trading, market making and asset management, helping them make an informed decision about their future career.
Deep performance metrics help students to build their profile as they progress through the simulations, and allows for exceptional talent from a wide and diverse talent pool to be identified. Those identified will receive further training and official accreditation through an investment bank academy, with the most outstanding, desk-ready, trained candidates then fast-tracked for upcoming internship opportunities with Morgan Stanley.
The pipeline of high potential candidates identified through the AmplifyME technology has already made an impact on the bank, with 11 new hires identified through the Future Female Traders initiative in 2021, and 15% of 2022 market interns in EMEA coming through the platform.
Thanks to the sponsorship from Morgan Stanley, the simulation events and AmplifyME platform will now be made free for any student, and will be delivered live and online at over 1000 campus events in 2022.
The campus simulation events offer a significant reprieve from traditional campus talks, attracting high attendance from a wider audience who benefit from a practical and engaging training experience, relevant to working in markets today.
The initiative continues Morgan Stanley's support to advance the career aspirations of diverse talent, and students from underrepresented backgrounds, helping candidates get flagged for their potential in the role, rather than background, CV, or prior ability.
